go and sun bathe...swim, have lunch or brunch..right in the heart of Geneva. Clearly a spot for the young ones to get rid of those tan lines...separate ladies section...where one can toss the top and tan to your delight. Very unique for an urban centre.

It's a fantastic place where all walks of life of Geneva society meet, from the artist to the UN staffer ... beautifully located on the lakeshore, friendly staff in the "buvette", good food ("plat du jour/soir") and the perfect place for a swim or after-work stay in summer.

For a 2 CHF fee you get access to a small pebble beach in Lake Geneva, for sunbathing, swimming in the lake and simple food and drinks. Worth the money if you have a little time off.

Been here a few times, in the dead of winter. The walk across the long bridge is very exposed, and can be downright Baltic. Inside however, long, communal tables, and the warmth of great food, and a great atmosphere. Have the fondue - it's the best in town, and a bargain.

Bain des Paquis (or BDP) is a very nice and popular place for locals to sunbathe and swim during the long summer days. Its a very bohemian place, with people smoking or drinking beers throughout the day, which may be worth keeping in mind if that isn't your kind of scene.
