Excellent guided tour of the conference rooms. We visited a number of conference rooms including the meeting rooms of the former League of Nations. The building is full of history and is well worth a visit. The entrance is a 10-15min uphill walk from the tram stop in Palais des Nations. The tour lasts 45mins but you need to allow... More

We had a guided tour and were lucky enough to see a couple of actual events taking place, there is a lot of security not surprising and you get and insight into this famous building. There are beautiful gardens at the back and some stunning architecture. The only thing confusing was the entrance to the UN, as you assume its... More

It depends upon your interests. If you want to see where World history is made (and you should); it's a must. It's not very interesting in itself (just empty conference chambers), but this is where Korea and Vietnam were settled; let alone Gulf 1 and Gulf 2 World history is made here More

Excellent guided tour of the place - costs 12 CHF - but quite worth it. You get to see the original General Assembly and Security Council meeting rooms of the former League of Nations. Guides are available in several languages including English. More

Its was good to see the rooms where all these important meeting takes place. So it was worth for 12bucks :) Our tour guide was also very friendly and she explained everything in a very nice... More

The tour itself was interesting and the building impressive. However it was painful to see how money was being wasted on the inefficiencies of the place. There is too much prestige and not enough world saving action! More

throughly enjoyed the hour long tour of the un buildings. Tour guides knowledgable and go extra mile. Note, the entrance is a 10 minute up hill walk from the nations tram stop so leave enough time! More

Do not miss the visit of this place, the is were lots of key diplomatic moments have taken place. For a drink nearby go to the Intercontinental hotel where lots of separate meetings have taken place before the start of major conflicts. More

We got here by tram and just wanted to see the Palais des Nations rather than take a tour. There are monuments and parks but what is striking are the demonstrations or protests taking place outside the grounds. At the time of out visit, the Libya situation encouraged Anti Gaddafi supporters to converge and voice their opposition and highlights the... More

Beautiful building and park! One can take a guided tour through the whole complex. I like better the "old" part of the building, the new side is also nice but not so interesting. There is a shop too, where you can do some shopping. More
