Great restaurants and gelato, but mostly a great feeling of community. We were there during the annual contest between the sopra and the sotto cities--drumming, and great revelry. We loved it!

This is the center of town, bank, bookstore, cafe's, and the main streets go through here. Lots of choices and directions to go from here, all a short walk.

The piazza is a jewel. The old church in the center is 2000 years old an ex roman temple. Visit Zubolli's book store, they have books, stationary and nice prints, not to to mention the nicest Christmas cards in the world and very friendly staff.

The Piazza del Comune is exactly what it sounds like. A typical Italian piazza, granted, but one that is not only alive and bubbly but also welcoming to the casual visitor.
