Our first afternoon in Italy included a visit to Siena where we happened upon the Tuscan Wine School (actually it is recommended in Rick Steves Italy book). What a terrific way to get to know the wines of the region (none of the 6 of us had any experience with Italian wines). We applied our new knowledge as we traveled... More

My husband and i have been drinking wine for years, but were not all that familiar with Italian wines nor about the different wine classifications or what specific grapes made up the different kinds of wines. Maria Luisa spoke excellent English and was very charming. Our group had a mix of more knowledgable people and those less knowledgable about wines.... More

My wife and I took the class (crash course) before our Tuscany wine tour. Maria Luisa was great. It was only us and she spent the our catering to our questions. Fantastic, her experience as a owner of a winery and her vines only made special. Great not a thing to miss. More

I grew up with Italian wines and am fairly knowledgeable about wines in general and still I just loved this class! Maria Luisa was delightful, knowledgeable, and engaging to listen to. After the class we felt so much more prepared for tasting and evaluating the wines in the region as we toured wineries and samples local cuisin. Our best find... More

My two girlfriends and I took their Italian wine class near the beginning of our stay in Tuscany and learned so much about the wine of the region! The instruction was great, and we felt much more prepared for our tastings at winery's later in the vacation. We had a blast. Would recommend to anyone who loves wine! More

Our instructor, Marialuisa was a great teacher and made the entire experience really fun. Definetly left the class with greater appreciation for wine, how "important" certain wines are, and a wealth of knowledge on Tuscan wines. Marialuisa was great in answering all of our questions throughout the class. I'd highly recommend taking the 2 hour course if visiting Siena. More

My family of 5 ranging from ages 31 to 81 recently returned from two weeks touring Italy and we LOVED our experience at the Tuscan Wine School in Siena! We found the brochure at our Siena hotel, and decided to check it out. Not only was it informative (we were all amateurs), and entertaining. The varieties we tasted were wonderful... More

This school became the highlight of our Italian vacation. The two hours was over far too quickly and we used the knowledge gained throughout the rest of our trip. Marialuisa was wonderful as a teacher and took our group from novices who simply bought wine, to people who now understand what we should be looking for in our wine selections... More

My wife and I loved the 2 hour Tuscan wine class. The class was fun, lively and the broad selection of Tuscan wines we sampled were amazing. A very enjoyable stop after a busy day of taking in Siena. The knowledge we gained from that class enhanced our enjoyment of wine in Florence and Venice. More

It was a wonderful day trip to Siena and the Olive Oil Seminar made it even better! We learned so much about olive oil that I actually feel like I know what to look for when I taste it now. Not only that, but Rebecca was such a delight to have as our teacher. She was knowledgable, personable, and fun... More
