Haveing seen photos and film of David all my life, my anticipation at the prospect of seeing the statue of David in Florence was "OK, lets see it and I can mark it off my list". It wasn't a "must see". I was wrong!
I was completely unprepared for the beauty of this masterpiece. It literally took my breath away....
