No words to express the unbelievable collection of Renaissance art. Michelangelo! Leonardo! But the Botticelli Primavera and Birth of Venus are particularly noteworthy!

Again, with the Accademia, the Uffizi is a must see in Firenze! Booknig online might be a good option as line-ups are big! You need at least half a day for this museum as there is so much in it!

Now the TIP to note. We had 2 tours booked for Florence, Uffizi and Accademia. When I took the hotel voucher to Door 3 and exchanged the voucher, they gave me tickets for the Accademia tour. Yes the Uffizi voucher was definitely given to them. So check the tickets because the fine print shows the time and tour. I did... More

This is no doubt one of the best highlights of Florence. Yes, there are long lines, but if you are smart to book in advance there is no much hassle to it. You might need a guide or be well prepared in order not to miss the best and skim the rest. Giotto, Boticelli, Carravagio, Michellangelo, Raphael, Da Vinci, they... More

Five, of course, for the collection. Two for the logistics. Can I be frank? My wife and I are well-educated and, I hope, cultured people, but there is danger in accepting without question guide books insistence that you do ABROAD things you would not do at HOME. Even WITH the recommended advanced tickets, we waited over an hour to get... More

If you have ever studied art history or even been interested in history in general, you absolutely must go to the Uffizi. Be aware, however, that there are long lines, even to pick up tickets ordered in advance. But it is absolutely worth it. You will see works by the greatest artists in history. And the building itself is impressive,... More

The collection of portraits and sculpture is really awesome. We booked a visit in the afternoon banking on the fact that our toddler and preschooler can nap in the double stroller and we can enjoy our visit. This helped us pay complete attention to the audio tour. I read up on the different styles and collection but it was nothing... More

This is one of the finest collections of Renaissance art anywhere. Almost overwhelmed with the amount to behold. Works by all the local artists from 5 centuries ago. Some parts of the gallery were under renovation and works had been relocated from where our guidebook and audio tour had them positioned. A highlight of Florence.

book your tickets in advance or you may queue for hours. we booked our time and were happy we did so. museum much smaller than I expected, just one big floor and an half for temporary exhibitions. The collection is very good but I was expecting so much more, about 4, 5 rooms were closed for refurbishment which is a... More

The Uffizi Gallery is overwhelming with its vast collection of magnificent art. If stairs are an issue take the elevator. We are good for a flight of stairs but there were at least three flights of a huge number of steps. Half way up we wished we had taken the lift. The visit starts on the top floor and you... More
