Both instructors were informative and knowledgable, and most importantly were friendly and a lot of fun. I will go back in a heart beat.

This was a really fun and a nice break from hardcore touristing for days. We had a small class - the five of us plus 3 others. You are met at the tour office and then take a short walk to the central market. A really lovely olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting -- learned so much about both --...

Giovanni and Giuseppe offer a pizza- & gelato-making course most weeknights from 6-9. I cannot emphasize enough how much fun this experience is. There were about 16 of us in the class, and from start to finish, every one of us had hands-on experience during the course, making and kneading dough from scratch, witnessing first hand how gelato is made,...

My husband and I attended the Pizza and Gelato cooking class in Florence with Giovanni and Giuseppe, and we had an absolutely amazing time. I want to emphasize that not only was the food delicious, but the entire evening was a blast. The lesson was in English, and the group we were with consisted of Americans, French Canadians, Scots, and...

After reviewing multiple cooking classes to take in Florence we settled on the Food and Wine Academy. It was a great decision. We were in Florence for three days and wanted to take one cooking class. Our group consisted of 4 adults (50's) and four grown children (27 - 24). The entire class consisted of 18 adults. The class started...

My friends and I signed up for the Cooking Class in Florence and had a WONDERFUL time! We had a rather large group (15) but it was fun to meet people and cook together. Both chefs Giovanni and Giuseppi were personable, knowledgeable and great fun. We even got the assistant Chef Andrea to play with us. For me, the market...

Giovanni and Andre were great teachers and worked hard to make our experience a positive one. We made several kinds of pizzas, calzones and gelatos. The group was about 12 people but there was plenty of room and time for everyone to get their hands floury and make several products each.
It was a fun evening in Florence!

The acclaimed advertised chef "Giovanni" was not there that day but the substitute chef named Andrea was very good. So I am not giving a bad review about the chef. He was actually very nice. However, I paid, 79 euros, which is over $100 for this one class because it was advertised as being "small and inimate" in the brochure....

We were just thrilled with our cooking class experience. Chefs Andre and Gisseppe were wonderful instructors. We were able to go to the market and then off to the kitchen where we prepared a delicious meal. Both chefs were patient and good instructors. This is a great experience for serious cooks or for those who are just learning.

I took this class with my 14-year old son, and learned a lot: how to make pasta and raviolli, how to make simple but terrific sauces, and even how to use a knife. The class was great fun, and the meal we made was the BEST meal we had in Italy. I would have taken a second class if we...
