Climb up the stairs from Ponte Pietra for 10 minutes and you will be rewarded with the best view upon Verona. Nothing else to add, go there and enjoy it!!!

Walk out of the city centre across the medieval bridge over the Adige river, scenic by itself, look back at the pretty facades, and then take the short, steep climb up to castle S Pietro towering high above. (You could drive, too, but isn't it nice to burn some of those calories from the fantastic food you just have sampled... More

Well worth the hike for the great views of Verona, the River and the surrounding area. The castle itself is all boarded up so not much to see there which is a shame.

When we visited the building was all boarded up and looked as though it had been closed for some time, but perhaps it was just because it was not the high tourist season, nevertheless we were still disappointed having climbed all those stairs to get up there (not for the feint of heart by the way). Despite this we were... More

We climbed all the way to Castel San Pietro thinking it was somewhat similar to Castelvecchio. It took very long to go up the very steep, never ending steps right behind the Roman Theatre. Once we got up there, gasping for breath, we discover that the attraction is simply a square, from where you can get a wonderful view of... More

The views of the river, city and surrounding hills are amazing from the Castel San Pietro. The Castle itself is not the attraction here!

To see the city the best, hike up the hill to the Castel and enjoy the panoramic view of Verona. It should not be missed. Take the stairs down and wander through the streets and stop for a drink at a bar and relax

To be honest, once you have made your way up the long hill - the sence of disappointment is hard to contain. The castle is certainly more impressive from the city, you cannot read the graffitti and see the broken/ boarded up windows from there. A lovely restaurant is located right near the summit, i would recommend you stopped there... More

You can take magnificant pictures from up here. It is quite the peaceful place. Very tranquil and a nice way to spend some quality picture taking!
