The church is impressive, especially seen in the evening. The peaceful court encircled by arches is a wonderful welcome before entering the vast naves of the very church. The church itself was covered in scaffolding when I was there last year, but San Zeno itself is worth a visit in the evening for it's central piazza with restaurants and 'gelato' shops. . . More

Lots of frescoes of differing periods make this a really interesting church. The crypt is lovely and there is also the body of St Zeno on display, if you like that sort of thing. You can either get a ticket to all the 4 major churches or get in on a Verona card to save a few bob. One of... More

Despite much of the facade being under cover for restoration, this is a real treat of a Romanesqe church that has amazing frescos and bronze doors of the great interest. Unspoiled, few tourists and with a beautiful cloister to stroll round. More

Nice striped walls and interesting bronze doors. Pretty and relaxing cloisters. Not a lot else to see. A bit out of the city centre but walkable. More

older than any church in UK; lovely quiet cloister outside, wonderful artwork on the walls, amazing marble work, was cold in the crypt-cardi needed! More
