The arena inside was very disappointing, when we visited the whole area was under reform to stage the opera, and what we saw was not worth the price of the ticket. More

can't miss it as it's huge and in the middle of everything but in awe it was built before machinery of any kind. truly worth seeing More

An evening at the Opera in Verona is a must do cultural experience but just a few tips will make a big difference. If you book your tickets on line as we did, take every scrap of email and some ID to the CORRECT ticket office when you try and collect them. This will save you at least 3 hours... More

The Arena was built in the 1st century AD and was the venue for many Gladatorial battles. Its history is vast and when there you can sense the history of this magnificent building. It was damaged by and earth quake in 1117AD but has stood the test of time to remain the centre of Verona today. Many such Roman ruins... More
