It was very interesting walking the streets where all this beautiful love story really started. Even though we didn't go into the house, it was a romantic walk.

Nowadays this house (by the way I managed to find it only with GPS-Navigator!!!) isn't much alike that historic place((. Now you won't come inside the building, because it's closed for strolling people (there's a kind of credit organization there). Romeo's history is dead in Verona:(((

Well my boyfriend, now husband, chickened out of proposing on the famous balcony. But is was very amusing and lovely to see others taking the plunge.

Finding this humble house is almost an impossible task if you are like me, wondering the streets of Verona on your own. The map isn't much help, unfortunately! Instead, I just appreciated the houses and cobbled streets as I walked. I didn't find what I was looking for but I found other interesting places and nice photos. No big loss.

We made it a point, after seeing Juliet's house, to look for her lover's house. After walking quite a while and chatting to a local, we got to know that Romeo's house had been bought by a banker and is now a private residence. Cute little balcony always laden with tourists, both the balcony and the small courtyard below. Some people still think it's real. The passage into the courtyard has to be seen to be believed.

It was very exciting to be in Verona. The ancient buildings were amazing to see and while it may have been smaller than expected it was still a great feeling to stand in the courtyard looking at THE balcony.

This venue is fabricated and awful , the staff were charmless ,I watched some unfortunate visitors being upbraided for making a harmless error. Unfortunately they will continue to get away with it because they can
