Absolutely beautiful Scuola, with unparalleled expression by a single artist (Tintoretto) of his feelings about both the Old and New Testament. Our favorite museum in Venice, probably in Italy. Don't miss!

Everyone may not have the luxury, but, our conference organizers arranged a concert performance by Interpreti Venezia. It was wonderful!

Enormous in scale within, replete with wonderful images by leading Venetiain artists and craftsmen, including a Titian and a Giorgione. The wooden sculptures surrounding the upstairs great hall are worthy of study ... the hand mirrors aid a viewing of the ceiling paintings, which are far overhead.

for me, the San Rocco and Frari church constitute two of the most important buildings in Venice. If you do not have the time to visit much else, they will capture the vigor and excellence of Veneitian painting and architecture for you. But remember, you need to spend two or three hours. This was the most amazing thing that we saw in Venice. Even better than the Doge Palace. It was mindshattering. There was so much to see. Give yourself at least 2 hours.

And, don't forget to use one of the mirrors to view the paintings on the ceiling. It's around the corner from the Friari so you...

One of the most beautiful things we saw or did in Venice. The artwork is indescribable.
Upstairs grab a mirror to see the fresco's on the ceiling. I missed them and my neck regretted it.
