A great little area and church just off the Grand Canal. It's relatively quiet here and within walking distance to Piazza San Marco. Our hotel was here and we enjoyed late afternoon drinks and reading on a quiet little terrace overlooking the church. We would definitely stay here again. More

Another Venetian church - but this one has a small crypt and a small (cheap) museum at 1 euro per person entrance. It's pretty enough, but it's still just another Venetian church. My recommendation - visit three churches at most (St Mark's Basilica, San Giorgio Maggiore, Salute) and leave it at that. More
