We stumbled across this museum on a rainy Venice day. As a double-bass player, to enter a former church and see three fabulous basses as the centre piece, seemed like heaven! “Amazing museum if you love music”

We stumbled on this museum completely by accident whilst in Venice. We were drawn to it as it as we could hear the wonderful classical music. This museum is free and packed full of classical instruments. Definitely worth a visit. More

This museum occupies a church in the San Marco sestiere. As it is free it has to be worth a short visit, although you would need around 45 mins to see everything properly. It consists of an exhibition of old instruments and many information boards about Vivaldi and his time in Venice. This makes up for the lack of info... More
