Our day with Marika was simply first class! Marika is so passionate about the amazing Venetian culinary treasures-the special vegetables grown on Erasmus island, the tiny berries only good for a three week period, the fish with the freshest, most blood red gills and of vourse the dozens of varieties of shell fish. Food will never taste as good anywhere... More

I am sorry for the late review but I had to come back and make sure that I told everyone on TA about how amazing Marika was and how wonderful our experience was with her in her kitchen. We were in Venice in Dec 2012 and I got the last minute idea to take a cooking class. Marika was so... More

Marika was a great host. We are vegetarians and she was able to cater for us no problem. The final lunch and wine was delicious and we look forward to using her recipes back in Australia. The setting in the villa on the beautiful Island of Lido was a bonus.

I've taken several cooking classes before and this one is by far the best one I've ever taken. My husband and I are forever grateful to Marika for taking us late (we woke up late from jetlag!), taking just the two of us when the usual minimum was three students, and taking us on a Saturday. She was incredibly warm... More

I just loved the morning I spent with Marika and others learning to cook gnocchi, risotto, tempura and tiramisu. I already cook a good deal and I was amazed at how much I could learn in a morning. We ate the most wonderful lunch afterwards and two non cooking husbands joined us for this. Marika is a very generous host,... More

This was our second visit to Venice. We are avid cooks and in both instances, we rented apartments and cooked most nights. With the Rialto markets, as well as pastry, pasta, meat, and bread shops at our disposal, it is difficult to improve on such a magical experience. But our cooking class with Marika Contaldo Seguso (yes, Murano Glass fame)... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Marika. The class is given in her beautiful home on the island of Lido which is worth a visit in itself. i wish we had scheduled more time to look around this upscale community. We cooked in her personal professional grade kitchen. We had asked for a Monday class and she... More

My boyfriend had booked our trip to Venice but had left me in charge of the itinerary. I saw the cooking class while browsing the "things to do". After reading the reviews, I booked it right away, as a surprise to him, as he likes to cook. We were contacted right away regarding availability. Marika was incredibly flexible. Due to... More

I just noticed that one of our group (we met at the class), wrote that this was the highlight of her trip. I wholeheartedly agree. I am so glad I added this to my visit to Venice! It was a great way to spend the day---the group was cordial and small (6 of us in all, but groups can be... More

Booked the cooking class online based on reviews, and it exceeded my expectations!!! Have been talking about it since I left!!! Had a fabulous time learning but also meeting wonderful "classmates" who I'm sure I will keep in touch with. Those 4 hours together was magical and a delightful way to begin my first time ever Italian adventure. Marika a... More
