This is a little way from St Marks Square but is worth a short walk - the building was the home of a fraternity who hired Tintoretto to do the decor - absolutely stunning interior. However, save your legs, the exhibition of relics on the top floor can be given a miss. More

We first went to the church St Rocco and met one of the experts involved in restoring the church. After explaining to us the features of the paintings he recommended the Scuola next door. We were not disappointed. More

This is a great museum with a large collection of Tintorettos! It is full of magnificent paintings. They provide mirrors so you can sit on the benches and view the ceiling frescos by mirror without straining your neck! More

The ground floor entrance didn't inspire us, although the paintings around the walls were impressive. The upstairs on the other hand !! Worth a second visit just to take it all in. More

The main attraction is upstairs, a large meeting hall covered floor to ceiling (inclusive) with Tintoretto artworks. Mirrors helpfully supplied to allow an easier time to examine the ceiling frescoes. More

We were freezing and decided to go inside. While still freezing inside it was fun holding the mirror to see all the paintings on the ceiling in the uppermost floor. More
