We loved standing in St. Mark's Square and listening to the beautiful music that was played for several hours each evening. More

We saw two performances by Musica a Palazzo on our trip to Venice recently and couldn't recommend them highly enough. The performances were powerful engaging and unusually intimate due to the palace setting. The palace surroundings were aptly grand, the singers and musicians were excellent and a good time was had by all! More

I'm not a big opera fan but this is Venice, it's a 12th century palace and it's La Traviata for an audience of just 50! The performances were great and Violetta literally died at our feet! This was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we walked back to our hotel after the performance along the edge of the... More

If what they mean is the music in San Marco's square, It snagged and held me every time. I loved it! Three bands took turns playing. More

It is without a doubt the most fun cultural thing you could do whilst you are in Venice. You enter the palazzo via a courtyard and back door where you could definitely imagine bad things happening. Then up a set of stairs which wouldn't have been out of place in a horror movie then into one of the palazzo salons... More

Absolutely fantastic. An opera with a small audience set in 3 different rooms with a glass of prosecco served in the interval - a magical experience. More

We went for Il Barbiere di Siviglia. It was fantastic and funny. The artists interacted with the audience. The power of an opera singer's voice can really be experienced when you sit only a meter away! The old palace is unique and its location is wonderful. Remember to go out on the balcony during the break to get a view... More
