I wasn't expecting much but loved the idea of something being in English. It was delightful. The little theatre was charming. Learned a lot about Venice's history, and the actors were excellent. You could see that they truly loved performing and loved their jobs! Everything about this production was excellent and it allowed us to really enjoy our first evening... More

The show is so much fun I want to go again. It was very informative, covering a bit about everything I've always wanted to know and doing it with style. The price was quite reasonable, especially considering all you get, and the gift shop has a lot of what I've been looking for and couldn't easily find. Everything about the... More

I'd not been to Teatro San Gallo before, and think this is a lovely little theatre! I really enjoyed this show, excellent performances from all, witty and informative about Venice's history. I also really enjoyed the technical aspect of the show. Staff were very helpful, and the prices at the bar very reasonable. I have an Imob card, so was... More

Well we went to the play since there was a flyer in our hotel and we found it wandering around. We all really enjoyed the play (mom, grandma, 2 teens and 8yr). It's more historical than we thought, but the effects and acting made it fun to watch. Nice small theater, and we left feeling excited to explore. It's also... More

Came across this show after seeing an advertising poster; looked it up on TA and decided to check it out for myself. The script style is not to my liking: I thought the humour was too naive and predictable but probably fine for children. The acting and information was good and interesting respectively. For €39 I would have offered the... More

We do take notice of things that experienced travellers have to say and know that to some our ticket price may seem a little high. In the response to a previous reviewer I did explain a little of the cost issues we face. I can say however that we do make some very good offers available. We have our dinner... More

Venice is expensive, agreed, and so 39 Euros is quite high but no more so than anything else you may go to see. The big benefit is it puts everything into context in the history of Venice. If you are there and have any interest in the background of who and what has gone before you should go to see... More

I stumbled upon this show by seeing the ads on the vaporetto. It took me awhile to find the theater, but I was glad I did. There is a nice bookshop/ gift shop, and they had a free display of Carnivale masks with interesting information. A small bar was open before the show serving Bellinis - SO good. The show... More

I saw this show in January and really enjoyed it for so many reasons. It really brought the history of the city alive for me in a fun and informative way. The cast were wonderful and gave lots of energy and charisma to the telling of anecdotes and facts that made historical figures and the things we saw as we... More

We went to see this show on our first night in Venice and I am glad we did. My friends and I like going to the theatre on our city breaks and hoped that this show would be entertaining whilst still feeling like we were absorbing some of the histroy and culutre of Venice - and this show was a... We decided (which means my wife) to see the show. The printer was not working so after waiting 10 minutes and returning 30 minutes later we had tickets. Once inside the decor is decent for being a warehouse but the acting crew is from England! It's like having a WW II show that has Mexicans playing the Germans, no offense... More

We are of course sorry that any customer suffers any inconvenience , unfortunately occasionally ticket printers do sometimes have a technical problem. We do take it as a compliment that this reviewer mistook our whole 'crew' for English. We do work hard to make the English spoken at the theatre as good as possible. In fact the only English personnel... More
