Parco del Valentino is a beautiful open space along the river with lots of benches to sit on and enjoy lunch in the open, read a book or simply meditate. You can hire bikes, or visit one of the many cafes along the river and I strongly recommend time to stroll through and peruse Borgo Medievale which is a painstaking... More

This is a very large park constantly in use by the people of the city. It has a beautiful Medieval replica town, there are famous buildings to view, sightseeing boats, people run, bicyclers, skaters, picnics, and constant displays to enjoy. More

Just walk from the C.so Vittorio Emanuele II bridge South towards Moncalieri. Any time and any day, it will always be extremely relaxing. You might forget your distances and find you've done four miles without realizing it. Must see the Rock Gardens within. More

Went to the Parco del Valentino on a cold February Sunday. OK.... I didn't expect the park to be sunny, abloom and all green in February. But I didn't even expect this dirty mess. What a pity. The place could be nice, even in winter. Heard from friends that the park is a common cruising area for gays, especially late... More

Students from the university nearby come there to have lunch in the open air in summer, spring and autumn: it's a pleasant place and the atmosphere is relaxed. Now I've been told squirrels have been introduced, but I haven't seen them yet. Some years ago I had a bad experience with rats (a lot of rats!), but now they seem... More

Very nice park along the river. It has lots of trees and grass. You can jog, walk or play with your pet. We went in november and it was a bit cold, so there wasn't many people, but still you could see some activity. There is a medieval castle inside the park. It still has stoned walls and it keeps... I read trip advisor reviews and went to visit this park in July 2010 - what a disappointment. It was dirty and unkempt to say the least. We got there on a Thursday at 3 pm and everything was closed. The Botanical Garden was only open for tours on Fri, Sat and Sun. The "castle" is not open to public... More
