Very well worth going. I did not expect to see bodies of the saints so well preserved. The church and its courtyard very special.

A quiet Roman basilica in modern Milan. Wonderful mosaics in the sacristy.

This is a wonderful church to visit. It is extremely important historically and architecturally of great interest. It is a must see in our opinion.

An impressive church, home to St. Ambrose. Even my kids were amazed to see the crypt.

This was the best thing we visited in Milan, very historic in an interesting part of the city. We even gained a free second hand book from a stall in the basilica as they were donated by local people to anyone interested.

It is not that easy to locate the entrance to this Church, but it is well
worth the effort. This church is the oldest in Milan and named after the famous bishop
Saint Ambrose, who is buried here. Pay particular attention to the romanesque
details and the Gold altar.
As a contrast to the Duomo, there are not many tourists...

The impressive architecture is to be seen already by far and you won't be disappointed at entering. Make sure you are not missing out on checking the skilfully carved wooden door in between the 2 entrances (protected by glass) and all the little Romanesque details everywhere. I can absolutely recommend paying the small entrance fee at the sacristy? in order...

Worth the stop, but it is hidden off the road... keep your eyes open
