Lake Como is a beautiful and scenic lake. We stayed in Tremezzo, which is a bit more affordable than other places in Lake Como. We visited various towns via ferries, which is the best method of transportation and the most scenic/photographable. Bellagio was pretty, but small and very touristy. We found Varenna to more scenic and enjoyable. During our vacation,... More

On a map it looks like a reversed Y with the two fairly narrow and long legs ending in Como and Lecco. The contrast between the lush vegetation near the lake and the rugged mountains behind is striking as... More

What a stunning place to visit. The ferries were great to use to explore the villages on the shores of the lakes which were all fascinating. The villas and the gardens were beautiful. All the meals we had whether it was pizza or divine pasta, were just delicious and stood out from other Italian places we visited. More

Don't think they were quite ready for 50 wedding guests to enjoy themselves though think they thought us loud,. The bar overlooking the harbour made us all very welcome though night... More
