Another amazing little building, with fine mosaics and a beautifully restored and restful base. You can sit and stare in wonder and incomprehension (which is what I was mostly doing), and feel completely exhilarated. Totally worth it. More

This was the first of several World Heritage sites we visited in Ravenna. It is one of the smaller sites, but it is wonderfully beautiful. The mosaic work is stunningly beautiful. The number of people allowed in the Bapistry at any time is well controlled, so you have a chance to walk about inside and fully appreciate the art. More

I love mosaics and Ravenna is the town with the highest concentration I have ever seen. You have to see them yourself. They are beyond description. More

You should be used to being blown away by the mosaics by now on your tour of Ravenna, but each venue has something to amaze and take your breath away. More

Close to the cathedral and the Museo Arcivescovile, it features a nice baptistry and several small chapels around it. Included in the combined ticket. More
