The piazza was nice but crowded with sports cars the day we were there. We like the city centre which has a cafe and quiet place to sit inside. A good break from the crowds

Ok so whilst we were here we had 2 days of it filled with over 300 Lamborginis, all very exciting and noisy. Lovely big open square where there always seems to be someone playing music

Certainly no visit to Bologna would not be complete without a visit to the central area. As in many Italian cities it has a great combination if an open area without cars, historic buildings and a great selection if shops and restaurants. Good selection if shops - both local and international and so many superb restaurants and gelato places -... More

Located in the heart of the city. Beautiful medieval square with impressive buildings. It is clean and elegant with beautiful galleries and best preserved palaces.

You must visit this square in Bologna. Here you can find the best ice-cream in town and visit some of the most famous attractions. Also, there are several events throughout the year-such as a screening of classic films- that you can find here.

Stop here for a cafe and people watch, you won't be sorry. Have a cafe, a gelato or a beer and enjoy the church and the piazza. On the weekends there are bands and jugglers and a variety of entertainment. Even without the spectacles, the piazza on its own is worth the venture. Enjoy!

This is one of the nicest city squares, with most of what you want to see within a five minute walk, and surprisingly cheap cafes and bars. . we were so lucky to arrive on May Day, so there was plenty going on . . .

We arrived on 21 April which is Liberation Day in Bologna. Lots of bands, wreath laying. All very interesting. Always something going on - jugglers, rock bands, dancers. Great to sit and watch over a drink or coffee.
