The road leading from castle Sant'Angelo to St. Peter's square sure is lovely, but only when you consider what' at both its ends.
The road itself, as a road, is not that interesting, and besides a regular church and some shops, there's nothing much to see there.
Still, the photo-ops at both ends are amazing.

This is the main avenue leading up to the Vatican, The widest street in Rome, it was made like this by Mussolini so that he could drive his tanks up to the doors of St Peters. Beware food and drinks here are very expensive...try 2 streets away (Pio Borgio) lots of nice inexpensive restaurants here.
