The host at our B&B recommended that we visit the edge of this garden just above Piazza del Popolo and we were very happy we did. If you love crowds, you may not need the kind of "R&R time" that looking out from the Pincio Garden overlook provides. We DID need a break and some "perspective", and walking 20 minutes... More

Definitely worth taking the steps to the top, especially at sunset! Steps are from the Piazza del Popolo.

Watch the sun set behind Rome, coloring the whole city orange and red. Or just go there during the day, and drink a nice cup of coffee. Beautiful views garanteed. Great tip: do this at La Casina Dell'Orologio. They are a LOT cheaper then you'd expect, especially in comparison with the other cafés in this location. And the ambiance here... More

We walked up here from the Via Veneto and were pleasantly surprised by the peaceful park - a welcome relief from the hustle of the city. The view from the terrace above the Piazza del Popolo is fantastic and takes in practically all of the city. Well worth the walk.

The best way to see the Pincio Gardens may be to take the steps leading up from Piazza del Popolo. In this way, you get a great view of the piazza below before you appreciate all that the gardens have to offer. The Pincio gardens, on the edge of Villa Borghese, were laid out in the early 19th century by... More

Pincio, situated near Piazza del Popolo offers the best views of St. Peter's basilica especially during sunset. With its location to the east of the Vatican, one can enjoy the sun setting over the dome of St. Peter's during the evenings. The gardens are clean and beautiful and one can easily spend an hour relaxing away from the bustling otherwise... More

Visited the Gardens just before sunset and the views were brilliant. You can take in much of Rome from here with a few attractions being obstructed by trees.

This was a nice relaxing break away from all the tourist crowds and some time with nature. We hired one of the 4 wheeler bikes for an hour and peddled our way around the gardens. Luckily we hired a bike that was electric to make the ride up the hills much easier. We saw some others who had normal bikes... More
