Maybe it was because it was raining but I felt this was such a let down:( Images I had seen of the Colosseum were nothing like what I experienced. Maybe a visit during night time would make a different or if the sun came out!! More

You haven't been to Rome until you have had a TOUR of the Colosseum. I suggest you take the tour so you are just not looking at ground and holes. More

Went on a walking tour of Rome and one of the attractions was the Colosseum, to think that we actually may have stood on a place where possibly Julius Ceasar may have been is beyond comprehension! A remarkable feat of architecture, the ruins around the collesseum are just as interesting, many archeological digs were going on while we were there... More

Go early in the morning and avoid the huge lines, and also to get the best light for your photos. It looks good from every angle so walk around the whole outside to get the best shot. You don't even have to go inside to be impressed. It looks better than it did forty years ago; nice restoration. More

Its one of those things that when you live on the other side of the world you must do when you come to Rome. We booked our tickets online and saved alot of waiting around although some better signage would of been nice. We had my disabled father in law with us and he was able to walk it quite... More

Most amazing tour and sight we went to in Rome. It lives up to everything you ever thought it would be. Of all of Rome, including The Vatican, this is the one place I felt history had been preserved. It is amazing. We booked a tour and then went with an audio tour on our own instead. I think either... More
