Easy to get to from the city center (just take the 64 bus from Largo Argentina or the Vatican). This national museum is packed with ancient statues and is worth the visit. Tie this in with a visit to Baths of Diocletian just a short walk away. Piazza della Republica has a beautiful fountain on the way. More

three floors of antiquities, statues of emperors, moziacs and reconstructed rooms of early Roman houses. Museum diagrams and signs made it easy to find your way around. Not crowded when we were there. More

This is a great museum filled with recognizable art! You'll be glad you stopped in so that the next time you see that image online or in a book you can say, "I saw that when I was in Rome." More
