We stayed in Trastevere because our daughter was living there during her semester studying in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. My wife and I stayed in Trastevere on our visit to Rome. It is a vibrant lively Roman town just on the other side of the Tiber. Great place!!! More

a magnificent quarter, linked to the rest of the city by the 117 and 116 buses, lots of boutiques and shops and pizzerias... Totally recommend it, especially by night (evening)...also visit Basilica of St Maria di Trastevere More

The place is always buzzing. At night it is just incredible to think of the number of people walking around. It is "the" place to be. There are many restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, side walk vendors, and stores open till quite late. More
