This lovely bridge leads all the way to castle Sant'Angelo and has quite a few beautiful statues set on each of its sides. It also provides a great photo-op for fans of "Angels and demons". More

We crossed a few pontes on our walk from the Vatican, but near the Ponte Sant'Angelo there was a nice street market set up. It was quaint and had lots of good value. We shopped there for 1/2 hour and it was well worth it. More

After Pont Alexandre III (Paris) and Charles Bridge (Prague), this might be our third favorite bridge in Europe because of its location, Angelic statues and long standing role in Roman history. Ponte Sant' Angelo has a very long history spanning back to Hadrian's time in the second century and it is a beautiful one to cross. In the 17th century,... More

The Ponte Sant'Angelo is a lovely bridge crossing the Tiber by the Sant'Angelo Fortress (Hadrian's Mausoleum). It has many Bernini statues which are easy to view and photograph. They are gorgeous reproductions and possibly the best collection outside of a museum. The bridge is easy to access and connects the Vatican area with streets taking you to Spanish Steps, very... The Bernini angels on this bridge are really lovely. We were told to see them at night, when they're all lit up. But, when we went, they weren't lit up at all. Maybe because it was a Wednesday, or maybe we were too late, or maybe it was just an off night. Who knows. But, if you really want to... More

A walk along the Tiber to view the bridges is well worth it . The Ponte Sant'Angelo is one of these bridges so called because of the statues of 10 angels on the bridge.. It is very nice. More
