We rented an apartment ( 4flats centro historico) for our five night stay in valencia just across the road from the market. And since most restaurants only open at 9.30 pm, which is too late for us let alone our kids, we cooked dinner every night. It was all part of the adventure, going to the market to get our...

Situated inside a truly impressive building, there is a huge selection of market stalls displaying a very wide range of beautiful fresh produce. Maybe not as cheap as you would get in a little local village market, but that is not a fair comparison - here you have produce of the highest quality and often unusual varieties of fruits and...

Fascinating market in a remarkable building. I have never seen so many different types of sea food on sale in one place!
A traditional city market loosely divided into vegetable, meat and fish sections. Located in a lovely old building a short walk from the train station and conveniently placed for other tourist attractions.
If u are in Valencia, you should visit Mercado Central - so much and various food inside, beautifully arranged! On the outside - there's a small flea market, as a contrast to the surronding buildings.... adds some color to the picture although it's place is not in the middle of such a beautiful city....
very nice place to visit, variety of everything, especiallyfruts and veggies, raw nuts and dried fruits
A fantastic welter of all the foodstuffs you could dream of. Fresh fruit and vegetables, seductive sausages and hams. All types of fish and meat the oddest bit you thought nobody ate as well. An amazing place, a must see if you are in Valencia.
The building is impressive and when you walk in you just say WOW! Anything and everything is available and fresh. You could spend hours just walking and looking at all the goodies. It would take months to figure out which merchants are less expensive than the others but it would be fun.
the Mercado Central is one of Valencias Top Sights. But it's more than just a historic building. Once a week the market hall comes alive and is crowded by all of these market people. It's definitely worth a visit. Maybe you get something rare or meet someone you know:)
