We put our fitness gear on and headed from our hotel one way in the morning walking past football games, skateboarders, biking groups and citizens of Valencia jogging, cycling or walking. Stopped at a liltte outside cafe for breakfast and had a giggle at a tourist group we could see and hear nearby being taken through the basics of castanets... More

I stayed in Valencia for a week last spring and always like to try and stay in shape while I travel. The park in the old river was such a great place to go jogging that I went there almost every day. So long and right in the middle of the city centre as well. Wish there was something similar... More

We arrived in Valencia last night and walked a two mile stretch of this park near the Sciences complex. It is certainly very interesting and well laid out. There is a fair bit of moss and algae growing in the waterways but it is well worth having a walk or a run. The surrounding architecture makes it well worthwhile.

Having read many of the other reviews we were looking forward to having a walk through the park. Personally I think we must have walked through the less interesting part, as from the Pont De Fusta towards the Botanical Gardens it did not seem very good at all. We were on a cruise, and as our bus took us back... More

After a bad flood of the city centre some 30 years ago, the city diverted the offending river around the city, leaving a 100 yard wide, seriously long hole through the city. This has been converted into a lateral green lung. Areas for sport, areas of greenery and areas to relax. From March through to September, there are ferias, exhibitions... More

If you just enjoy walking, a stroll through the old river Turias bed is a must. It has been turned into a marvelously landscaped area. There is a playground for children at one point and the most interesting thing in it is a reclining gigantic figure of Don Quijote that the children use for a slide! (Go up to the... More

Fantastic park for walking, running, cycling, sports in the old dried up river bed. Perfect for a walk around the city and a good way of finding out where you are from the old town.

There used to be a river here, but it flooded and they dredged the river and led the water around the city. Now it's a lovely place for a walk with lots of trees and grass fields. There are lots of joggers, people with their dogs, and cyclists in the Turia. We hired a 'Valenbisi' bike and cycled all the... More
