We Bin there on sunday is was Great, lot of people, Nice weather, lot of puppetplayers, thing to see.... Must do. Also the glas palace is there etc
very very nice place for sports, relaxing , lots of people go there during the day ; very nice the book market that takes place inside .Very clean and relaxing area where you can stop for a while to get some breath from the busy streets of the city
But wire fencing for works going on made it less beautiful at the moment. Hope to be able to visit one day in spring or summer to see the difference and take that romantic rowing boat ride on the lake !! A nice break while visiting the city. With several musicians playing at various places in the park.
Wanted to see what the people of Madrid do to relax as compared to NYC's Central Park. Really gorgeous, spread out and tons of gardens to explore. Wonderful to see a cross section of the people of Madrid there. Would definitely return to again.
A beautiful park, worth the visit; whether you choose to sit and watch people, stroll one of the many lanes or rent a boat, you are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience. Try to get there 1 hour before sunset for the "golden hour" of the magical light.
Great place to visit, I think one of the best landmarks of Madrid especially on a sunny day. Don´t miss the Glass Palace (palacio de cristal) it's so beautiful and serene
Retiro is a great place to spend a day! Perfect not only for sports and walks, but also as a place for picnic. Spent a lot of time here during my study abroad experience in Madrid. We spent multiple days here and still didn't see all that there is to see. Many times we packed lunch and would sit out in the grassy areas..eat..and observe the people going by. Make sure to look up when the book fair is there..it was incredible!
Fantastic large park with many interesting areas of interest. Interesting buildings, exhibits, statues, fountains, cafes, book sellers, facilities and a boating lake. Relax and watch the residents of Madrid at their leisure.
