Located just off bomb house lane, just a minute from main street, this museum will provide you with everything you need to know about Gibraltar. Check out the remains of the Moorish baths underneath the museum and the fantastic model of the rock which was made in the 19th century, there is something of interest for everyone ! More

One of the better museums I´ve visited, very thorough. The only downside Id say is there is too much information compact into such a small space that I wasn´t prepared for it. More

We were not sure what to expect from the museum, given how small Gibraltar is but, we were pleasantly surprised. You learn the entire history of Gibraltar from rock formations, settlement, wars, ownerships all through to the present day. The building used to be a house so there were a few small tight cornered steps to get to one level... More

You could easily miss this as it is hidden along a side street right under the overhead walkway from the Bristol Hotel to it's swimming pool. But don't miss it if you are interested in the rock and it's history. It starts with a 15 mins show then you can take as long as you want to look at the... More

A must for first time visits Although we spend a lot of time in Gibraltar we often still call in the museum. it gives you an insight of gibraltarians of years back. there is also a very intersting film show. It is in a convenient position off the high street, near the Briston Hotel. More

We went there for business, if you are lucky enough to spend more than a few hours on Gibraltar as we were - 5 days - you could be in for a treat. If you thought the place amounted to little more than english food, a rock, a few apes and a bit of duty free shopping you're in for... More

There didn't appear to be any logic to the layout of the museum. If I'd been organising it, I'd have put the large model of the Rock (which we stumbled upon much later) where the carriage is (beside the entrace) as that would help put things in perspective at the start. That said there was lots of interest - with... More

There is little to see in Gib anyway, and it's not well indicated. Somewhat confusing with Moorish baths and a mummy? Useful video. More
