Love the hotel and the plaza!! Restaurants are terrific on the plaza. Best to stick with the hotel or the great restaurants to the right or left of the hotel. Just be careful of the fried "little fish" at the restaurant directly across from the hotel ... It was not the white cod -- Like fish and chips -- that... More

Lovely gardens and fountains to see on your way though winding garden paths all the way up to the palace, which is very beautiful.

We visited this square each day of or 3 day stop in Barcelona each day you would notice more things. It was a lovely square lined with beautiful buildings, and a very nice fountain. Lots of restaurants and bars around the inside of the square there are plenty to chose from. We ate in one of the restaurants on the... More

This is my absolute favorite place in Barcelona. There are many restaurants to choose from. When you come in from the Rambla, choose one at the back of the square. This is where the sun sets, so you can enjoy the last sun rays at the end of the day (I was there in April, when it's not so hot... More

Don't just stop on la rambla, take the time to stroll to this beautiful sqaure just inside the Gothic quarter, the restaurants are better with a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Theres a great Flamenco show - Tarrantos just inside the square and a lovely market in the afternoon.

Just off La Rambla this is a great place to hang out and soak up the atmosphere. A sun trap during the day and sheltered from the breeze in the evening. Plenty of places to eat and drink, although it becomes very busy after 7pm so make sure you don't eat too late. We can recommend the restaurant 'Quinze Nits'.... More

You must stop ere and enjoy the culture and fun people. Enjoy a bite to eat. All the food is good and they speak a little English. We stayed a while

This is what the typical tourist imagines a Spanish / Catlaina Placa should look like. High stone walls surrounding a multitude of outdoor cafes with palm trees, statues and fountains. A place to meet, relax, eat and drink. Not sure if it is authentic or more staged for the tourist from the cruise ships and just off the la ramblas,... More

Next to the busy Ramblas. It's a hiding spot when the streets are full of people. You can relax on one of the terraces with a good glass of wine or tapa's. There are no cars passing as it is in a pedestrian zone. Literally you can say it's an oase in a busy city! A must visit is my... More

Really liked the vibe here - we stopped for a coffee during the day - the next day we came back for pre-dinner drinks and the next we dined at one of the restaurants.
