Lovely gardens and fountains to see on your way though winding garden paths all the way up to the palace, which is very beautiful.

Don't just stop on la rambla, take the time to stroll to this beautiful sqaure just inside the Gothic quarter, the restaurants are better with a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Theres a great Flamenco show - Tarrantos just inside the square and a lovely market in the afternoon.

Just off La Rambla this is a great place to hang out and soak up the atmosphere. A sun trap during the day and sheltered from the breeze in the evening. Really liked the vibe here - we stopped for a coffee during the day - the next day we came back for pre-dinner drinks and the next we dined at one of the restaurants.
