A church well worth the visit. Beautiful architecture and nice location very near the waterfront. Also the surroundings are great to discover.
A beautiful basilica dating back to the early 1300s and now finally and wonderfully restored. From an active and central parish church, in its early centuries, to the shippers and merchants of Barcelona, through its dark years as a storage warehouse in the Spanish Civil War and then somewhat forgotten, it is great to see the Santa Maria del Mar...

The church is stunning, especially at night. Lots of people in the courtyard, it's a nice place to stop and sit on the steps of the cathedral and just hang out for a while or have a little picnic.
beautiful church...nothing outstanding inside but very worthwhile visit... the restuarantes in the square are lovely too and its nice to explore the area

Love it. A great gothic masterpiece still loved by the people. No pretensions just a solid monument. Great!
This was a nice, semi-plain church in Barcelona. I liked it a lot actually for its plain-ness. Sometimes churches are so overdone that it makes me mad to see all that wealth with starving homeless people sleeping across the street. This church was much more reserved. It was elegant and makes you feel reverent even if you are not religious.
