I visited the church because I read the book "La Catedral del Mar" based on the construction of this church. The church is beautiful and full of history. Very nice visit!!! More

The Born area where the Cathedral is placed is great! stylish, young and not as crowded as the Gothic. More

Santa Maria Del Mar us easy is miss with all of the other cathedrals and sites in Barcelona, but don't let yourself. It's amazing! I read "Cathedral By The Sea" before heading to Barcelona and it really put the church as well as the city in perspective. More

My wife and I visited the Eglesia de Santa Maria del Mar on three occasions during our trip to Barcelona. Not as ornate as the Sagrada Familia but it has a more reverent tone. It contains some very nice stained glass windows. More

Beautiful in its gothic simplicity. It is one of those places that draws you into prayer. At noon on thursdays one can go up to the roof and have a breathtaking view of "old" Barcelona. More

if you are interested in churches or if you just pass by on your way please have a look at it.... but for me it is not a must. More
