This is not Palau Reial. This is Palau Nacional, in Montjuich Mountain. A modern Palau Reial is in Diagonal Avenue, but the original (XV century) is at Gothic Quartier.

The main attraction is the Museum, Roman ruins, Roman walls, etc. Well worth a couple of hours.

We stopped by here on our Barcelona Day tour. The palace is built on top of Roman ruins. You can see how they added new stones on top of the old ones in the walls.
