Take this bus on the first day to get the lay of the land. The explanations by the guide were very good (unlike the tourist bus in Madrid). BCN is a bigger city than I expected and it was helpful to drive around to see the big picture and plan excursions.

My disclaimer: I dislike crowds of tourists and the mediocrity that many tourist restaurants, tours, shops seems to have. Why then did I sign up for this? Apparently the tours provided under this name are part of Barcelona Turisme, which is the official tourist information organization for the city. We only took one tour, the bus trip to Girona and Figueres. We had planned to go to Figueres to see the Dali museum, but when we tried to get rail tickets they were all booked. So, we...
