Tricky mountain, narrow twisty road drive to and from. Having said that, if you like that sort of road danger, this could be the trip for you! Masca is clearly not what it used to be in medieval times! Now, it's a collection of cafes and trinket shops waiting for tourists. If you want the view, you'll need a clear... More

The Masca Gorge Trek is basically a 7.5 km hike following a stream bed down a ravine ( like a bijou grand canyon) that leads to the sea at Masca Bay. It is not technically demanding but you do need to be reasonably fit and reasonably sure footed. Most hikers start at Masca - there is a yellow sign just... More

We went on the Masca Jeep Tour on 01.05.2012 and had a FANTASTIC TIME, I am quite surprised by some of the other reviews on here. Our guide Franco was wonderful, very charasmatic and made us all laugh throughout the tour. He ensured he pointed everything out and shared some very interesting facts with us. I would say that he... An opportunity exists to trek down (andd back up if you want) Masca gorge, from the village of Masca. There is conflicting advice on the subject. Some like to take an organised tour utilising a mini bus, out of Los Gigantes for example. Published prices are around 49 - 55 Euros. However, we elected to simply take a taxi from... More

We went to the beautiful Masca Valley in late march, wow! We really recommend it to anyone interested in stunning beauty! The roads are a little scary but that adds to the fun! Its just beautiful. More

Not really difficult - you just need shoes with good tread. It's steep, to be sure, but you are going down natural stairs most of the way. I think going with a guide is helpful, for finding your way and also for having him help you in some of the trickier nooks and crannies. There are a few parts I... More

What a great experience. The views were breath-taking. The drive is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it is well worth it - I was white knuckled through much of it, but came away with fabulous photos. More

The drive to get to the starting point is not for the timid or inexperienced. Best to take the local bus. The trek is not for the unfit. Having said that you don't need to be super fit to do it. Took us almost 4 hours, walking/ scrambling/ climbing/ bumming our way down. Must have been an excellent workout as... More
