A lovely walk along the river just a short way from Plaza Nueva with fab views of the Alhambra and enchanting places to sit and enjoy a coffee in the spring sunshine listening to Spanish guitar. Yes, it's a tourist city but you never feel it's contrived to rip you off. More

Full of history, churches, shops, restaurants, small hotels, street musicians--a walkway you'll come back to more than once as you wander the streets, return from the Albaicin, or come down by foot from The Alhambra. Adding a lovely ambiance to the city. More

Busy but not overcrowded and full of life, strolling along with wondering eyes on cobblestone street along the Darro stream looking at the flower baskets hanging from the balconies of stone houses. Lots of tiny shops, restaurants with terraces covered by canopies of flower garlands right by the stream and with the back view of the Alhambra. Fantastic and romantique!!!! More

My first experience walking this road was at nighttime and it was fantastic, one great sight followed by another (all atmospherically lit up), along the water, culminating in the Alhambra lit up. It's a very romantic and scenic walk at night and for photographers, bring your tripod because you'll be shooting here all night and the pictures will be worth... More

This is a beautiful beautiful atmospheric walk, with lots to see and do and taste and experience. Probably the nicest walk in Granada . Looks like it is from a fairy tale . On the way to the nicest parts of Granada . Not to be missed. More

Several great museums along this route, along with wonderful photo opportunity for people shots. Also the route to hike up to St. Nicholas for the sunset (or any time) view of the Alhambra. More

What a joyful surprise to see this added treat on our trip. A procession began just at six thirty down the Carrera del Darro adding more romance to this street. More

The Carrera del Darro is the street that is on the left bank of the River Darro. It is a narrow street, but there are many things to see, especially the Alhambra as seen from below. One of the important buildings houses the Archaeological Museum of Granada, which is worth seeing. There are many buildings from the 16th and 17th... More
