The concept is absolutely wonderful. The structure is beautiful. However, we made the mistake of going at night and there is now artificial light. Therefore, it was impossible to see anything.

It was a cold day in January and we enjoyed some marvelous hours at the zoo, particularly in "Gondwana-Land". Don´t miss it, when you stay in Leipzig!

the Leipzig Zoo is one of the most historic town zoos in Germany, but, a large number of investments have been undertaken these last years, so that the majority of the animals can be admired in an environment very close to their natural one. The zoo is just great. lots to do and see. A good place to spent a few hours. Be sure to take the boat ride and see the monkies on the island.
