We didn't walk through the whole thing, as it was rather expensive, but the history about the building itself and the one connected to it, which was built for the king's mistress, was very interesting! Definitely worth walking into the free areas and the indoor courtyard. We were more interested in the building and architecture than the exhibits anyway, which... More

Jewels and more Jewels like one has not seen before. The vault is overwhelming. Check times to make sure it is open. They close museums on different days.

I was really impressed with all the treasures to be seen in the Royal Palace. Particulary fascinating for me was the Turkish section where they have full tents built.

Well made exhibition with awesome collectibles. Take the free audio guide to get more detailed information about selected collectibles. That they check at every floor your entrance ticket is a bit bothering. No photography allowed.

This year alone the newly finished Entrance vault was worth a visit. The historical green vault is a delight of finesse and true accomplishment of an old glory rebirth.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed going through the Royal Palace. Residenzschloss ranks in the top 3 of "must see attractions" in Dresden.

Both the historical and the new galleries display Many interesting pieces of ancient handcrafts from the sorroundings. Specially the miniatures. Nice visit. Of course, the alte meister is The Must of Dresden

I was not sure what to expect on my trip to Dresden. I have been to many castles and palaces throughout Europe. This was certainly worth a visit if you are in Dresden. Get a good guidebook (I use Rick Steves) and enjoy a nice walk around the grounds of the Palace. There are many people, but it is not... More

This palace has nothing unexpected or unusual, but it's a great example of German architecture and understanding of royalty!

This palace is just outstanding. The gardens and walk ways, awesome. We spent time looking at the paintings, which were beyond anything that we have seen. We would love to go back and see more.
