Pictures are beautiful, but in person it is amazing. Don't miss the bridge that leads to the palace. Sit back and enjoy the view fromt he opera house plaza. Stop at the cafe at the plaza and have a coffee and cake.

Many Baroque style buildings and example of ruins of World War II and rebuild. Many of architectures has preserved and regained fascinating ensembles. Full of art and history.
I would say that Dresden is one of Germany's most beautiful cities.
Pre war building are still blank and burnt.

I went Saturday at 11:30 for the free 30 minute organ concert. It was pretty awesome and it wasn't at all crowded. No pictures allowed inside the church. There's a small gift shop inside. Beautiful exterior.

The Palace church of Dresden has been constructed in 1738 - 55. Hofkirche as well as Frauenkirche, Dresden is constructed in my favorite Baroque style.
