Just left bayarena after watching Leverkusen beat Valencia so here is the scoop...the stadium is 15 minutes in the s-bahn from Koln just a few euro. You do have to buy a concession credit card to buy food or drinks and you can only pay cash to load it unless you have a German chip card which we did not....

Saw a football match here. About a one kilometer walk from train station through a park. Entrances are a little tough, you must enter through the gates for your section, then you are free to wander. A little frustrating to walk to gate nearest team shop only to be turned away because your seats aren't near that gate. Team store...
