The buildings are very well preserved and very beautiful. You are catapulted right back into the 1600s when Bremen was a wealthy and successful member of the Hanseatic League. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The center of Bremen is very beautiful! Definitely must see! Buildings are magnificent and at the same time the center is very cosy.
a nice place to see, from the Rathaus to the Roland statue, Dom and the interesting small alleyways that fill it. Bremens historic center is absolutely beautiful and worth a visit. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to keep on busy, but deffiniately dont miss out on a tour of the historic center to see and experiance it in...

The district of Bremen - Schnoor - with its small houses, narrow streets, small galleries, cafe and shops is worth to walk around. Just take it as a a rest.
It is really a nice city especially the old quarter " altstadt". The buildings are really nice and very different from each other and not to forget pretty close to each other so easy to walk trough . A 4 hour walk and you can enjoy it all even with a walk passed the " Weser " river!
Very charming markt platz, and beautiful old buildings. Several good restaurants at Markt platz, but ofcause a bit expensive due to location.
We loved Bremen, not just because we were visiting our exchange 'daughter' but because the town is compact, beautiful and friendly. The alstadt is lovely, plenty of space to wander around and has lots to see.
Walking around the old city centre of Bremen is like being travelling back in time (in a good way). The old centre is filled with extraordinary buildings, so just walking around is a real joy. The centre is relatively small, so you can see it all in a day or two, which makes Bremen a perfect weekend destination. Don't worry...

Great ambiance and large choice of handcrafts and christmas goodies. Friendly atmosphere amongst locals.
Most beautiful, recently fully restored building, which is a centerpiece of the town - and amazingly - survived the destruction of most of the city in the second World War
