Apparently this gem located in the heart of the city near the Berlin Philharmonic isn't amongst the top attractions in Berlin and yet it deserves to be given more than just a glance. The porcelain collection is to die for with a glorious Meissen collection. The silver and gold section is amazing. A fantastic walk through craftsmanship through the ages.

This is a museum of decorative arts. There are Meissen porcelain figures, silver, glass, metalwork, and other items from across Europe. One of the Renaissance rooms was closed but this was clearly signed at the admissions desk on entry. The basement wasn’t as interesting to us as it houses a modern collection of items such as chairs and desks. We...
