As an israeli this wAs a must for us. Well worth the visit. Very daunting and not an easy experience, but at least the Germans are dealing with the past and they must be given credit for it

There is much to do in Berlin to learn about the Jewish experience, this museum does the most complete job.
There are different ways to experience this museum, which added to our visit. In addition to the expected rooms and displays of history there are opportunities to experience with your senses. Very moving.
The top level was super interactive, fun...

...no more. Not as spectacular as expected but I think we expected more from WW2 and less jewish history....

The building housing the museum, in what some say is the shape of a broken star, is thought-provoking. The areas devoted to the Holocaust have some belongings and brief stories of people who were lost, as well as of some survivors. Having a few personal accounts showcased gives one an appreciation for the countless lives that were lost. Much of...

We found the museum very interesting indeed, with plenty of information about the history of the Jews in Germany and also general background to the Judaism. You do need plenty of time to take it all in, and halfway through we had planned to go the cafe on the first floor, which was at the halfway point - but shut....

The museum appeared to be some kind of artistic expression of the Jewish struggle but it was schizophrenic in its approach and was extremely sterile leaving the visitor with little ability to connect.
I don't regret visiting but I wouldn't bother going again.

This museum is in a fascinating building it explains about the symbolism alongside the exhibits. The 'voids' of the building and the garden are very powerful. The 'axis of continuity' covers the history of Jews in Germany up to the present day. It's very interesting but once you enter at the top of the stairs you have to follow the...

Nice size museum. They had a very good selection of historical material dating back over 1000 years of Jewish life in Germany. For those with a Jewish background there is plenty of intersting material but alot is aimed at those who do not Judaism. Nice cafe.

The architecture of the museum is very modern and nice.
Pictures of the outside are very nice.
Inside you must leave all your things in the wardrobe (also cameras, no shots allowed).
The museum is nice and interesting (reccomend the audioguide).
Go first to the last floors and then come down to the basement for the last part, the most...

There are no less than 172 museums in Berlin and this is one you CAN afford to miss. It's a confusing maze with a silly attempt at symbolism from an architect that clearly has no idea of practicality. The staff are rude and don't want to help. This would be ideal for a Jew looking at their ancestry but a...
