The history is really fascinating here and you can think of all the history that ran through - if only the last 70 or 80 years! More

Superb architecture and a sight not to miss in Berlin, you can go up to the dome in the parliament building and see the proceedings going on below. If the weather is good just settle down in the huge greens outside. More

I first saw the Brandenburg Gate in 1997 when I Interrailed around Europe. As I was in Berlin and staying nearby, I went to take another look. It's a very impressive structure. That said, once you've seen it .... you're done! There's a Starbucks within 100yds of it, so pop in there, have a coffee and get away from the... More

It was great to see the Brandenburg Gate. It was very tall and it looked over the rest of the buildings in the area. Over all, it was magnificent. More

This is basically a monument steeped in deep history. Do you have to see it? Answer is we are tourists so we go for it. Took a few shots, but serious photograpers will not add this to their albums.bottom line you can give it a miss! More

Obviously you can't miss the Brandenburg Gate if you walk down Unter Den Linden, and it's worth seeing for historical reasons. Unfortunately the area has turned into a garish cheap spectacle packed with tourists. More

It is the symbol for the city. Its destruction, occupation and rebirth. You simply cannot visit in berlin and not walk by. More
