My wife and I visited the magnicient palace in March and found it to be a great stop. We (English) traveled with a German group be we were provided with earphones that described the rooms and history very well. The guide also gave us a few remarks in English that was also very helpful. The tour lasted about an hour... More

We had read a lot about this interesting family over the years, and decided to visit their palace while we were in Regensbasurg. I'm glad we did, as it was very informative. A MUCH different social system than we have here in the states. More

We went there when the Christmas markets were on so it had a lovely ambience with the rustic looking stalls and lots of fireplaces and gluwein to keep warm. It is great to explore and well worth a visit. More

We enjoyed looking around this amazing collection of treasures and trinkets. Thankfully as we arrived late in the afternoon we had the place almost to ourselves. The downside was we had to rush a bit but we managed to take most of it in, helped by the audio guides. The highlights for us were the horse and carriage museum and... More

I have been traveling around Austria and Germany visiting Christmas markets and this one is one of the best. You have to pay to enter 5 Euro during the week and 6 Euro on the weekends, but it was worth it. The grounds are beautiful. Fire pits everywhere. The booths are very traditional and covered with pine branches. Torches light... More

Great atmosphere. Wood burning fires all around to help stay warm. Beautiful things to buy and yummy things to eat while surrounded by this beautiful Palace. More

Pay the entrance fee and really enjoy the ambience. This is how I imagined the xmas market tradition to be, minus the snow. The stalls were covered with for branches and there were open fires every few yards around. The crafts were of superior quality and browsing was way more fun than the regular markets. The palace is that -... More

We visited the Carriage Museum portion of the Palace as the English-speaking tour of the main museum didn't fit our schedule. We knew nothing of this family, but learned a lot from the hour we spent there. You can go through the Carriage Museum at your own pace with a headset. Most impressive was the diamond encrusted coat and pants... More

Visited the schloss while in Regensburg. ( don't miss the stone bridge) the schloss can only be visited by guided tour and seems expensive. However is really good. English tour at 1.30. Very informative and entertaining. Guide was rather nervous it was her first English tour but she was really excellent. Lasts about an hour but did enjoy it. More
