This place truly has a little bit of everything, ranging from spices to dishes. You can find some typical souvenirs here and they will be cheaper than the same offered in some of the stores on the Koenigstrasse. For lunch, you will have quite a few options, including several vebdors offering various versions of Bratwurst. Try the Crepes for dessert... More

The hauptmarkt in Nürnburg was full of yummy food and handmade, germany made or authentic items (wool boots, kids clothing, ceramic kitchenware, fur hats etc). The food was great. I enjoyed the chocolate covered fruit on a stick, and there were many options for pretzels, candy, wurst etc. I loved that the market was filled with locals and tourists alike.... More

We only had a couple hours in this square, but it was definitely worth a visit. I was intrigued with the Schoener Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) in the middle of the square. The intricate gilded figures and ornate patterns on this Gothic fountain are steeped in history and legend - look for the golden ring! Frauenkirche was beautiful - quite crowded... More

1 of the very best Christmas market of the country or probably even entire Europe, in a medieval city setting, a cold nice weather... and there you are, best square of a city to soak yourself in Christmas spirit..

We enjoyed the Christmas Market. One drawback was that for the thousands there, there were no bathrooms or portables. Lining up in Macdonalds is the only choice. (50cents)

It is a good place to know the local products of Bavaria, and is an area with a very nice archichecture buildings. Its located in the old town that was very well reconstructed and restored.

Will definately go back again, well worth the visit, there was so much to see and do. We found the market traders very friendly but not pushy and some amazing gifts to bring home. The shopping there is brilliant, my daughter and I are coming back in the summer to do our yearly shop, havent told the husband yet.

This location is loaded with Christmarket booths selling their food, wine, beer, and wares. It was packed with visitors and was tough to move at times. There is interesting structures and architecture surround the square and is definitely worth a visit!

Went here specifically for the Christmas market since it's the biggest in Germany. Wasn't that impressed since it seems most markets have the same stuff. However, we still had a good time. Try Esslingen's Christmas market - they have a medeival market that's a lot of fun for everyone.
