This church is right off Marienplatz, and is definitely worth the visit. There are very beautiful side chapels, and the church has very beautiful stained glass windows. And check out the "devil's foodprint!"
The church is very well maintained and decorated. But for me, it was very so-so. I went in to see the floor tile called the devil's footprint. It sure makes for a good story. They were working on the front when i was there, so couldn't see all the exterior.

The Frauenkirche is the tallest building in the Altstadt (Old Town) and a few minutes walk from Marienplatz. The building was virtually destroyed in WWII and it has been expertly restored. Once inside it is surprisingly stark, bare white walls and pillars offset by beautiful stained glass windows.
This church in the centre of Munich has twin towers that dominate the city skyline. It is a quiet refuge quite near to Marienplatz. If you like visiting churches then this one will not disappoint. Look out for the tomb of emperor Ludwig IV of Bavaria and the 'Devil's Footprint'.
Severely damaged in World War II, the interior of the Gothic style cathedral (Dom) has been restored in a very modern way. The stained glass windows are stunning. In the midst of a busy shopping area, the church is a great place to stop and take a breath, a long quiet one.
The Chruch of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) will be the most quiet place in the whole center of Munich. Very impressive.

While the building’s design is very plain with red bricks in the late Gothic style, the two domes were constructed during the Renaissance and didn’t match the architectural style of the building. The interesting contrast makes it a distinctive landmark and renders a deep impression on the visitors.
